Supply Chain Management in the Healthcare Sector - News Today

The Sankara Nethralaya Academy and CII-Institute of Logistics is jointly organising a free seminar on the critical relevance of 'Supply Chain Management in the Healthcare Sector' at Sri V D Swami Auditorium, Sankara Nethralaya Main Campus, Nungambakkam, on 17 August, between 2 pm and 4 pm.

According to a press release, the seminar would be addressed by specialists from various fields and throw light on how effective 'Supply Chain Management' in healthcare assumes major significance in view of the growing competition in this segment, the entry of national and international players into the arena, increasing awareness of their rights and growing patient expectations which have placed an enormous pressure on  better utilization of resources both human and material, enhanced performance levels leading to better healthcare delivery.
Th special session with particular emphasis to the healthcare industry organised by the Sankara Nethralaya Academy would help in a more scientific, systematic and strategic approach to the optimum utilisation of resources and co-ordination of functions within the hospital and external agencies contributing to its functioning .
The session would provide hospital managers and administrators the necessary knowledge and inputs towards delivering a better patient feel, health delivery and management of the bottom line, the release said.
