Malaysian Optometry Students at Sankara Nethralaya

The Sankara Nethralaya Academy and Twintech International University, Malaysia, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will enable final year optometry students from Twintech University to intern at Sankara Nethralaya and hone their optometry skills.

The students will be posted in all departments including Glaucoma, Cornea, Computer Vision Clinic, Orthoptics and Contact Lens. Weekly classes, apart from the department-wise Continuing Medical Education programmes, and case presentations will help the optometry students gain proficiency in the subject.

So far 93 candidates in 6 batches have undergone this unique Optometry Internship at Sankara Nethralaya and the next batch of students will be arriving here for 4 months internship training from the first week of December 2011.

The 6th batch of Twintech International University, Malaysia students completed their 4 months training at Sankara Nethralaya Academy on 25/11/2011.

Interacted the Malaysian students and awarded their internship certificates and spoke about the great services rendered by sankara nethralaya and quality of education to their candidates.
