Graduation Ceremony of Medical Research Foundation
18th August 2013 witnessed
the grand celebration of the Medical Research Foundation’s (MRF) Silver Jubilee
graduation ceremony between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm in the Tapovan, Chinmaya
heritage Center, Chennai. Undergraduate, post graduate and Doctorate Programmes
of Optometry are being conducted by the Medical Research Foundation in
collaboration with Birla Institute of technology and Science,(BITS) Pilani.
Post Graduation in Medical laboratory Technology and Doctorate programmes in
biological Sciences are conducted through Vidyasagar Institute of Bio Medical
Technology and Science (VIBS).
Dr S S Badrinath, Chairman Emeritus, Medical
Research Foundation welcomed the gathering. The chief guest for the function,
Dr T S Ravikumar, Director, Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical
Education And Research (JIPMER) inspired the audience with his insightful talk.
Elite School of Optometry (ESO) was
started in 1985 and on this silver jubilee graduation ceremony, 33
undergraduates and 8 post graduates in Optometry received their degrees from
the Chief Guest. Senior faculty Drs Sumathi Narayanan, P P Santanam, S
Ramaswamy, H N Madhavan and Professors N Pichaimuthu, S Veeraraghavan and Ms Sabiha
N Jamal were honored during the occasion.
Four post graduates in Medical
Laboratory Technology and 4 Doctorate students were conferred with their
degrees through the Vidyasagar Institute of Bio Medical Technology and Science.
Institutional awards and Best faculty awards were also given. Heads of the
Departments of various specialties of Sankara Nethralaya graced the occasion.
Dr J malathy, Reader, Micro biology rendered the vote of thanks.
