INSTITUTE OF LOGISTICS
To address the need of
sharpening India Inc’s competitive edge through better Logistics and Supply
Chain practices, CII Institute of Logistics (CII-IL) was established in 2004 by the Confederation of Indian
Industry as a Center
of Excellence in
Logistics and Supply Chain.
Having identified the need for
Logistics and Supply Chain excellence for the industry to become sustainable
and competitive at the global level, CII-IL provides various Education Programs
for Graduates and non-graduates, in
order to fill up the skill gap in the Logistics industry by providing competent
human resources.

THE PROGRAMME
Logistics
and supply chain management is far more than storing goods and documentation.
For delivering efficient and effective health care services it is necessary to
design right supply network and manage the flow of health care goods. The
knowledge of Logistics and Supply chain management is essential for every
manager in health care sector to plan and deliver quality services.
The
Sankara Nethralaya and CII Institute of Logistics jointly developed PGDSCM in
Hospital and Health Care Services by keeping in mind the contemporary and
immediate future needs of the rapidly emerging sector in India . The programme emphasizes
importance of focusing on customers, health professionals and eventually patients.
It focuses on demand rather than upstream stages of the supply network.
The
programme provides balanced inputs on Hospital and Health Care Services
business requirements regardless of their scale. The first two semesters focus
on Hospital management and administration providing participants good
fundamental knowledge of various functions. Building upon the foundation the
third and fourth semesters focus on Supply chain management functional drivers.
The
programme covers all aspects of supply chain management from managing
information and communication, carrying out an assessment, setting up medical
stores, selecting and sourcing health care goods, transport and distribution.
The programme is unique as it brings practical knowledge and cross functional
perspective by integrating a variety of topics such as supply chain management,
health care, pharmacology as well as engineering.

ELIGIBILITY
FOR ADMISSION
1.
Any
graduate with minimum 50% marks by any recognized Indian University .
2. Admission into PGDSCM programme will be made on the basis of
an Admission Test/ Personal Interview, as prescribed by TSNA & CII-IL from
time to time.
HOW TO
APPLY
Application can be availed in person or downloaded from our
website. Duly completed form is to be submitted along with requisite processing
fee of Rs. 500/- by cash / DD in favour of “Medical Research Foundation”
payable in Chennai.
